Students who use cell phones, social networking on-line, youtube etc... must feel they are some sort of time warp when they learn with chalk and brush teaching - Let students show their skill and efficiency when using information through blogs, wikis, podcasts, photostory, youtube.....
I agree. A lot of the challenge is that teachers are way behind their students in understanding technology.
I basically agree - but I still think the best learning is when students quitely reflect on things they learn or read (i.e.student is able to get into a book and read without distractions for 30 minutes) - This is the best type of learning.
Today with so much multitasking with technology... I wonder if students still quietly reflect ....
I not exactly sure of the "quietly reflect" for all students - Brain research by Dr. Kathy Nunley indicates that some students actually think better will tuned into a loud Ipod - just a though :>)
